12.17.2012 Press day!


Floor Pin Presses – 4 sets of 5 – I had no idea where to start here so the weights really jump…but I found my ceiling when the back starts curling and the feet start flailing to try to get the weight up – that's the ceiling!
95#, 135#, 155#, 165# managed all sets but pretty close to failure

Barbell Push Press – 4 sets of 10 – working the jerk version all done using the split jerk, although I think they were pretty timid and shallow movements – need to open up the feet a little more and get more explosive….as the Loumeister would say..
65#, 75#, 85#, 95#(that was my previous 1 rep MAX!!) YEE HAW!!

Heavy Rope Pushdowns for Triceps – 3 sets of 10 (strange machine I used….but whatever)
32.5#, 37.5#, 38#

Dips – Static hold halfway down. 3 sets of 10 seconds. I cannot do(YET) a straight dip, so I use bands…and my arms were killing me…
1st set used black band. I think the motion was kind of jerky and not as explosive and fluid as intended.
2nd and third sets Green/Blue bands….
